Orillia Kay Key Deer Note Card
Orillia Kay Key Deer was born on the most beautiful salt water beach on the most tranquil island of all the Florida Keys. She loved her home: the soft sand underfoot, the meditative sound of the tides, and she blossomed when sharing it with visitors.
A few years back, Orillia Kay decided to more formally welcome newcomers to the island of Big Pine Key. Beachfront, she built a little palapa that quickly became the island’s busiest watering hole. She encouraged her network of friends from farther afield to take road-trip holidays - meeting her local community and just relaxing for a few days. And they do. Evenings, Orillia entertains a sizable crowd with a delectable dinner, music by live band, and dancing until they can dance no more. However, there’s always enough energy left for a stampede to the absolute silliest pool floats with a race into the ocean and a front row view to the heavens. The stargazing, moonlight paddle invariably ends with the beginning: a gorgeous sunrise full of optimism and joy. No matter how often she watches that sun rise, it is always fulfilling, and puts her in mind of a most perfect quote, “Only that day dawns to which we are awake”. Orillia intends to always be awake.
